Make It Right Housing Update

In January we paid a visit to Melba and Baxter Barnes, the owners of KieranTimberlake's first completed Make It Right home in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans.
The meeting with the owners, and representatives from John Williams Architects and the Make It Right Foundation was priceless and poignant. We were pleased to learn that some of the owners' favorite elements of the house were features we had given the most consideration; the wood trellis for climbing native vines, the expansive windows in the front parlor and the views from the roof deck. The house will soon be outfitted with an aluminum ornamental railing on the porch.
In addition to architectural services, KieranTimberlake has donated over $50 K in proceeds from its 2008 speaking engagements to the Make It Right Foundation.
